Sauvignon "Priscus"

Sauvignon is one of the important prestige grapes in South Tyrol. The variety enjoys excellent growing conditions in the “Plortsch” vineyards on the south-facing and east-facing hills at 500 m above sea level, slightly below Wehrburg Castle. This sauvignon is named after the Roman general Priscus, who also lends his name to Prissian. The “Priscus” sauvignon is impressively intricate and complex. Its bouquet can be described as having aromas of elderberries, citrus fruits, white peach and lemon balm. The wine is dense with a good length and great minerality on the palate. The “Priscus” sauvignon deserves its grand cru designation. It is the perfect accompaniment for creamy soups, fish and white meat… Or simply as a treat on its own.
